I love this time of year after all the specialness of Christmas holidays and before the big two weeks of carnival in New Orleans. Decorating our home and seeing others' colorful displays add to the anticipation.

The excitement all begins each year with the Tweflth Night Joan of Arc parade in the French Quarter and the costumed Phunny Phorty Phellows ride on a streetcar down St. Charles Avenue. Then it is a carnival blur of parties, luncheons, balls and more. The parades with their wonderful floats complete the wonder of the season. The air is palpable with the frivolity.

With my love of carnival from Mobile to New Orleans I have dedicated part of my work to art and other lifestyle items celebrating that wonderful time of year. I sell artwork for your home; trays and art glass for entertaining or decorating; clutches, totes and laptop sleeves to make your work and personal life better; and a wonderful selection of stationery. I design all using my artwork.

This travel mug is just one fun example of items with the carnival theme. Keep all your drinks for watching parades or for every day perfectly tasty and ready. The stainless steel insulated cup and tightly sealed lid with flip top will be your go-to cup all year long.

Check out my website for more selections. I also have a shop on Society 6 at www.society6.com/theRDBcollection for more manufactured items using my artowork. It's a great satellite shop for those items I cannot make in my studio.
