Now that Christmas has come to an end it is nice to reflect on the season and what you enjoyed most. It is also a time to count your blessings and think about what you plan for the new year that is upon us.

My mother adored Christmas, decorated everything and couldn't get enough of this festive season. She loved entertaining and Daddy loved baking cakes and sweets for the holiday as well as attending with us all the parties, Christmas music and theatre of the season. That love and joyous Christmas spirit they had resonates with me, and their dear memory lives every day in so many ways. So today I count them among my many blessings and gifts of love and friendship.

Here I am in this photo with mother decorating one of the many trees she had throughout our home. This was a simple pink tinsel tree for a little sitting area where we'd read or play the piano. The lights would twinkle so brightly against the metallic tree and the myriad of Christmas balls creating a warm, sparkly glow while we talked or played music. It was such a cozy, happy holiday feeling.

Hoping your Christmas has been special. Thank you for supporting the arts and small business. You have made my year.

Happy holidays.
