My work is my perspective of the South, and sometimes it shows the strong influence other places can have on some of our cities. The history of New Orleans and France are forever intertwined. Some of my photography and other design work illustrates this point. It is a rich history, a beautiful influence on this special place we call home where bread is a baguette or croissant, the fleur de lis is a beloved symbol on just about everything, drinking cafe au lait is the norm, and even the streets, the food, songs have French names not to mention the many of us who proudly answer to French monikers. One of the city's most popular holidays is in French ... Mardi Gras. We are even governed under Napoleonic Code, literally. Talking about French influence! So enjoy my art with the South as muse and see if you can also find this and other European and historical influences too.
